Fabricating Play
Fabricating Play explores the use of the systematic processes of digital design and fabrication directed towards the development of an architectural installation that considers how the resulting artifact may activate user participation. This full-scale intervention will serve as a prototype for the design and production of architecture.
The Veiled Lady is a small scale installation designed, fabricated, and assembled for EXPANSION, Lexington’s only Psych Rock and Experimental-focused Music Festival. Moving around and through the space, the structural profiles expand and contact at once providing shade and creating a variety of lighting effects. At night it becomes a later to augment the experience of the music festival.
The enclosure includes built in tables and chairs on inside and exterior and was designed for multiple uses. All waste material from the fabrication process was able to be recycled.
